[edit] BioUnit Error

Wow! The biological unit that has been deposited for this structure is really amazing! I wonder what keeps the subunits arranged in space in this way? Lets call it the 'error force'!

Who are these people who write the above? The PDB is absolutely correct in a 24 meric spherical sructure READ the UniProt entry - "SUBUNIT: Homo-oligomer of 24 subunits that assemble into a spherical protein shell " this PDB wiki appears to be full of ignorant comments by people who arfe incapable of understanding biology

Who are these people who write the above? The BioUnit is absolutely incorrect, resulting from an error in the bounding box of the ASU in the BioUnit division of the PDB archive. LOOK at the structure of the BioUnit. The argument here isn't related to the fact that this protein functions as a 24-mer, but rather that the specific 24-mer presented in the BioUnit is totally insane!!! You can see the correct version of this protein in PISA, or in 1eum, for example. Also, please cite the 'ignorant comments' if you want to complain about them. The person seems incapable of understanding the scientific method.
