[edit] Format error
The RCSB website does not display an enzyme classification (EC) number for this entry. Additionally, the 'mutation details' for the poly-peptide chain are missing. These values should be;
- E.C. 5.4.99.5
- ALLELE MUTANT, THR 226 ILE
Looking closely in the CIF file for this entry, the 'entity' records show the cause of this problem. The structure has two entity records, one poly-peptide chain (CHORISMATE MUTASE x2) and one ligand (TRYPTOPHAN x2). The cause of the above error is that the EC number and the mutation details have been assigned to the ligand entity, and not the polymer entity.
Looking at the polymer entity alone, you would not notice the EC number or the mutation details. Looking at the 'non-polymer' entity alone, the EC number and the mutation details make no sense. This is why the RSCB web-page for this entry is incorrect.
This is a rather technical error, reflecting an error in the underlying data that should be remediated.
